Helpful to: Instructors + Tutors of Secondary Students, Young Adults, Adults. Also for independent learners.
What It Is: The Instructor's Manual for WLE Level 4 Competency-Based Grammar is a 40-page supplement for those who are teaching themselves or others. The book includes a complete copy of the 112-page student text. In accordance with its subtitle, “Cross-Cultural Communication,” its ten (10) Chapter titles are the same as in the student text.
Why You Need It: Whether you're teaching a class or learning on your own, you need your own copy of the targeted pages to work with. Also, having step-by-step teaching instructions, exercise answers, and supplemental material on hand can be reassuring while reducing stress.
What It Does: The extra instructors' section at the end of the manual begins with suggested ways to optimize presentation and practice of various kinds of text sections. It's followed by an Answer Key for all text exercises. A printed Audioscript of all recorded material is a valuable aid to both instructors and students struggling to get the gist of what they hear.
