Who They’re For: Teachers & Helpers. Novice Learners of English. New Readers of All Ages.  

Why You Need: Them: At any level of proficiency, “kinesthetic/tactile learners” may do better if they can touch or manipulate learning materials. Combined with visual and/or auditory techniques, physical movement tends to optimize the results of this learning style.    

What You’ll Do: 

• Collect and arrange touchable materials (with texture) into recognizable letter shapes. Learners identify them from their feel as well as their appearance.

• Form letter shapes with hands and/or body poses. Identify the characteristics that make their meanings evident.
