What You’ll / They’ll Do:
[1] In Download J-01.02e, (once again) get familiar with the patterns of all the Cards. Printed six (6) to a page, three (3) Cards in a row “cover” Learning Points for 3 separate Pieces of Information. For instance, for E. Aging in Society, the info answers queries like 1. “In which countries do people have the longest life expectancy?” 2. “Where is blindness the most common?” 3. “Why are people in poorer areas of the world living longer?” The same content appears in a different form on each Card—once as a statement that’s either True or False, next as one correct but two wrong answers to a Question, and finally as an item to be responded to with words, phrases, or sentences. Some purposes of this design are not only connect to material in other areas of inquiry but also to suggest ways to go beyond supplied material
To get an overall idea of the content of 54-Card Deck C, look through its 54 x 3 (162) Items & Answers. Notice that they mention important concepts integral to the subject matter like developing vs. industrialized countries, respect for aging, living conditions, caregiving, elder abuse, economic status, retirement, the media, lobbying organizations, driving, etc.
To make hands-on use of the material, print out the 18 pages of J-01.02e back to back. Either apply them to Lessons & Quiz Games as is, or cut out the 54 separate Cards to use as a complete deck. Instructions for doing so are included in Downloads J-01.00, J-01.01, & J-01.Xtra—and/or you can probably invent even more effective, fun procedures of your own.
[2] For Download J-01.02f (Card Deck F. Success in Aging), pick out the directives from Step 1 above that are generic enough to apply to another collection of Learning Points relevant and useful to the overall Subject Matter: Agreeable Aging. Follow them as you continue your quest to acquire & communicate knowledge through games while enjoying yourselves.
